What we collect

Account info

When you sign in: email, name, and the OAuth provider ID handed to us by Clerk. We don't see or store your password.

Local browser storage

Your dex tracker (caught, shiny, defeated trainers, collected items) lives in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device.

Server logs

Standard hosting telemetry from Vercel — IP address, user agent, request path — retained for a short rolling window for abuse prevention and debugging.

Aggregate page analytics

Counts of page views and routes via Vercel Analytics. No individual tracking, no third-party advertising cookies.

How we use it

• To let you sign in and (eventually) sync your tracker across devices.
• To understand which Pokémon, maps, and items get the most use so we can prioritise improvements.
• To keep the site online and diagnose errors.

We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or build behavioural profiles.

Third parties

Tallgrass runs on top of a few external services. Each handles data according to its own policy:

• ClerkAuthentication and account management
• VercelHosting and analytics
• CloudflareR2 storage for images, sprites, and map assets
• PokeAPIRead-only data for species, moves, and encounters

Your rights

Request export or deletion of your account data at any time by emailing contact@tallgrass.gg.

Your local tracker state lives in your browser's localStorage and can be cleared from your browser's site settings — we can't see it, so we can't delete it remotely.
